Ruby Marrero was pronounced dead on Tuesday, the Lehigh County Corner's Office confirmed. An autopsy is scheduled for today.

Marrero had been in critical condition at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Salisbury Township, following the Feb. 21 crash.

Her family was at her bedside at the hospital when she passed away, according to a GoFundMe campaign started for the family.

Joshua Stockman is accused of hitting Marrero with his car the night of Feb. 21 while speeding north in the 400 block of North Sixth Street in Allentown. Police said Marrero was crossing the street at the time.

Stockman failed to stop, drove around the victim in the street and kept going, according to police. Officers found the car abandoned about a half-block from the crash scene and Stockman allegedly had run off.

Stockman, of South Whitehall Township, is free on 10 percent of $50,000 bail in the case.
