Hostilities after Shakira song: Piqué's girlfriend admitted to the clinic

Since their love-off, the air between Piqué and Shakira has been more than thick. Many fans blame the ex-soccer star's new girlfriend for the split. Clara Chia Marti is now apparently also suffering from the fuss about her person in terms of health.

Under the eyes of the public, singer Shakira and Gerard Piqué have been having a violent mud fight for months. For Clara Chia Marti, the former soccer player's new girlfriend, this apparently has serious consequences. The 23-year-old is said to have been hospitalized, according to the Catalan newspaper "El Periodico".

But from the beginning: After ten years together, Shakira and Piqué announced their separation in June last year. A war of roses broke out between the former dream couple, in which Shakira accused her ex-boyfriend of cheating on her. Piqué didn't bother to try to limit the damage and shortly afterwards showed up publicly with Marti.

The injured Shakira, meanwhile, processed the breakup in a musical way - and without mincing his words. In their song "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53" they say: "You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo, a Rolex for a Casio."

Shakira's clear words fueled the hype about the love drama again. Piqué even took advantage of this and quickly concluded an advertising deal with the watch brand Casio. He was also unimpressed on Instagram and posted photos with Marti. But the spotlight on her person apparently sapped the nerves of the young Spaniard herself. The previously completely unknown Marti was suddenly exposed to the hostilities of millions of Shakira fans, who blame her for the love-off.

According to "El Periodico" she has been attacked by anxiety attacks since then. A few days ago she had to be admitted to the private clinic Quirònsalud Hospital in Barcelona. It is unclear whether she is still there. However, she should continue to be under medical observation. According to the newspaper, Piqué and Marti had to cancel a planned visit to a concert this week due to the 23-year-old's poor health.

The former FC Barcelona defender and Colombian singer Shakira met at the 2010 World Cup. The relationship produced two children together. Meanwhile, Shakira's revenge song has been well received by fans: in around three weeks, the video on YouTube has garnered more than 250 million views. For Marti, however, hatred on the internet apparently has serious health consequences.
