Today, Wednesday March 22, the Catholic Church honors Saint Welcome Scotivoli.
He was born in 1188 in Ancona (Italy). In the city of Bologna he graduated in Law and would be named pontifical chaplain of his city.
In the year 1263 he consolidated his social position as administrator of the diocese of Osimo and Pope Urban IV named him bishop.
He managed the properties of the Church and prevented their sale like that of the monastery of San Florencio de Pescivalle.
He died at the age of 94 and several miracles are attributed to him after being buried in the cathedral of Osimo.
