The threat of an attack came via email to the federal police, an announcement that has been taken "very seriously." At the moment the reasons given for this threat have not been revealed.

The plane in question landed in Hamburg at around 12:20 p.m. and was immediately taken to a special area. The 198 passengers and 16 crew members have left the aircraft and are undergoing security checks. The plane and all luggage are also being inspected.
