It was "life-threatening": Travis Barker reports from the hospital

A few days ago, Kourtney Kardashian's husband Travis Barker was hospitalized with an acute inflammation of the pancreas. His call on Twitter for God to save him terrified friends and fans alike. Now the drummer gives the all-clear.

Travis Barker has now reported back to his fans after the moment of shock last week. The Blink 182 drummer was hospitalized in late June with an acute pancreatitis. In an Instagram story, the musician now explains what happened.

"I went for an endoscopy Monday and felt great. But after dinner I got excruciating pain and was taken to the hospital." A "very small polyp" was removed during an endoscopy. "Unfortunately, an important drainage tube of the pancreas was damaged in the process," said Barker. This led to "severe, life-threatening pancreatitis". However, after "intensive treatment" Barker would be "much better". He was "very grateful".

The musician's wife, Kourtney Kardashian, also commented on the events on Instagram. It was a "scary and emotional week" for her. She thanked God for "my husband's healing, for all your prayers for him and for us, for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support." The specialists, doctors and nurses from the hospital would have "taken such wonderful care of my husband and I," she enthuses.

Just a few weeks ago, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barke got married in Portofino, Italy. Barker and the oldest Kardashian sister made their relationship official on Instagram early last year. He then proposed to her on the beach in Montecito, California, in October.

Kourtney Kardashian previously had a long relationship with Scott Disick, with whom she has three children: son Mason, daughter Penelope and son Reign. Barker has been married twice. His first marriage to Melissa Kennedy lasted nine months. His second marriage to Shanna Moakler ended in 2008. The two married in 2004 and have two children together: son Landon and daughter Alabama.
