Jets sign fourth-rounder Max Mitchell

On Thursday, the Jets made a step closer to signing all their 2022 draft picks.

The team announced that fourth round tackle Max Mitchell signed a four-year contract with the team. Breece Hall, second-round running back, is the only member of the class who has not yet signed.

Mitchell was a three-year Louisiana starter and was named third-team All-America after he started 14 games at right tackle in the 2021 season. Mitchell was also a left tackle during his college years.

The Jets anticipate 2020 first-round selection Mekhi Becton to be back from last year’s knee injury. However, it is not clear if he will play left or right tackle at this stage. George Fant was the left tackle last season, and their positions will be decided during training camp.
