Justice. "Rapist of Sambre": Dino Scala invokes a predator-hunter instinct in front of his judges

Dino Scala, known as the "rapist" of the Sambre, used Friday's "hunting, prey instinct" to explain the 30 years of sexual assault and rape he had committed on Friday, before the assizes in the North.

According to his lawyer, the accused admitted that he had "committed sexual assaults or rapes" during the investigation of "the majority facts". He was 61 years old and appeared for 17 rapes, 12 attempted and 27 sexual assaults against 56 victims, between 1988-2018.

"Did your feeling strong?" A lawyer asks. "Yes, strong, took over," he responds. The president of the court recalls that he was "not particularly focused upon sex" according to the survey. He launches: "Yes it's strange."

"Apart from that (...) HTML of what I was capable to accomplish as misdeeds," says the former worker and local coach. He is very open about his past struggles and frustrations but fails to grasp the facts.

"We are going ask this man, really and sincerity", Me Emmanuel Riglaire, lawyer of two civil parties, declared before the hearing. One of them came "reluctantly". Me Caty Richard, lawyer representing three of them said that the victims "hope" to be able to end what happened.

Melanie, who was 14 when she was assaulted, stated that she was "stressed" as well as "impatient" right before the hearing opened. She is hopeful that the trial will reveal the truth, even though she doesn't hope so.

She cries, holding back tears, recalling that she thought for a while that he was downstairs from me, looking at me, and then that he was going on to finish his job. He told me that he would kill him if I shouted. At the beginning of the hearing, the president of court mentioned that three psychologists were available in the room for victims who needed them.

Dino Scala, who was in police custody, had admitted to approximately forty assaults, citing uncontrollable urges, but had disputed "about 15", according to his lawyer. This investigation reveals that Dino Scala was a "predator" who lives his life around his crimes.

"I watched where the women went." He will confess that he likes to be stealthy and to hide himself during the instruction. This evokes a "nature as a hunter".
