As he was about to view the Euro 2021 final on TV from his flat, a man was stabbed through the heart. A murder trial has been heard.
Kyle Walley, 19 years old, died in his Ruabon, Wrexham home on the kitchen floor.
The jury at Mold Crown Court heard that video of the attack was captured and uploaded to Snapchat.
Mark Harley Jones, 19, also from Chester Road, Wrexham has admitted to killing Mr Walley, but denies the murder.
Mr Walley was hoping to attend the final football match between England and Italy with Mark Jones, whom he considered his friend. The trial was not told.
Mr Jones arrived at Mr Walley’s home at lunchtime. However, by 16.47 BST, Mr Walley had already been killed by the defendant after he stabbed him.
The jury was shown Snapchat videos by Mark Jones, in which he was seen drinking Bourbon and cider at Mr Walley’s flat.
Another video shows him making stabbing motions at Mr Walley, while holding a knife with his back turned.
A number of videos were also shown to the court, including one showing Mr Walley lying to his death while the defendant kicked him. Another showed the defendant showing his bloodied hands to the camera. He said that he "stabbed up Kyle Walley" and was "going to make time".
John Philpotts, the prosecutor, stated to the jury that Mr Walley was talking on the phone with Attia Jones at the time of the knife attack. She heard an argument between the two men, and Mr Walley shouting, "put the knife down!"
Then, she heard Mark Jones shouting "it’s my ADHD," followed by screaming.
Harry Meadows, a friend of Mark Jones, saw the Snapchat clips of the defendant making threats with a knife at Mr Walley’s home in the hours before his death.
The jury was informed that it was not the first instance of Mr Meadows seeing videos of Mark Jones using knives. He had threatened to kill him before.
According to Mr Philpotts, the prosecution argued that these clips proved that Mark Jones was considering stabbing Kyle Walley.
After Mr Walley's passing, videos found on his phone were discovered. They had been sent by Mark Jones one day prior to his death and said: "I'm about to kill you" as well as "I'm gonna stab your ears off tomorrow."
According to the prosecution, Mark Jones couldn't have stated his intentions more clearly.
