La France insoumise annonce une motion de censure contre le gouvernement Elisabeth Borne

MP LFI Mathilde Panot, president of La France Insoumise's parliamentary group in the National Assembly, announced Monday, July 4, via Twitter, that a motion for censure would go against the new government by Elisabeth Borne.

"Ms. "Ms. "We will force you to appear before Parliament," wrote Val-de-Marne, the MP.

Multiple media reports indicate that Elisabeth Borne the Prime Minister should not seek a confidence vote from the deputies on Wednesday, July 6, at the conclusion of her general policy speech. This is the first time in thirty years.

The National Assembly can ask "the government's responsibility" by submitting a motion of censure as provided in paragraph 2 of Article 49. Once the motion has been submitted by at least 58 deputies a vote is held in the hemicycle two days later. At its outcome, the Assembly will decide if the motion is approved by the absolute majority, i.e. 289 deputies, then the Prime Minister must resign from his government.
