Olivier Veran (Ensemble), stood for his succession at the 1st District of Isere (38) during the legislative election. With 40.50% of all votes cast, he is first. He will be facing Salome Robin (36.86%) on June 19.

One could not believe that the constituency was anchored to the right - voters voted 79.05% in favor of Emmanuel Macron in round two of the presidential election – its past is more on the left. Jean-Luc Melenchon finished only three points behind the president in the first round. This was a blessing for Olivier Veran's main rival, Salome Robin (19), from Nupes.
Olivier Veran was a PS color deputy, and he served as Genevieve Fioraso's replacement between 2012-2015.
