Almost three-quarters of GOP Republicans and over 60 percent of voters in Cheney's home state of Wyoming finally have a negative view of their congresswoman, based on a Jan. 25-26 research by Trump pollster John McLaughlin, based on Politico.

"It's evident her evaluations are in poor shape among general election voters and also have dropped among Republicans and Trump Republicans"

"The powerful voter opinion in this poll suggests that there might be comparable consequences for several other Republicans who voted for impeachment," McLaughlin added.

A Cheney spokesman declined to comment into Politico concerning the survey .

However, Cheney's rebuke of Trump attracted the most attention due to her leadership position.

Following the survey was revealed, Donald Trump Jr. published a tweet in response.

Gaetz denied that the planned excursion was a part of a strategy to replace Cheney as chair of the House Republican Conference.
