Lonely lion: Georg Kofler is single again

As an investor, Georg Kofler regularly enters into happy partnerships in "Die Höhle der Löwen". But privately, the most recent relationship project failed. The 65-year-old announces the separation from his partner.

Well roared lion! This has been confirmed to Georg Kofler more than once in the past. After all, he has been one of the investors in the Vox show "Die Höhle der Löwen" (also available on RTL) since the fourth season in 2017. Initially only used as a substitute for Judith Williams, he is now a permanent member of the team.

Of course, Kofler has already been able to celebrate one or the other successful conclusion of a partnership with one of the startups that are trying to get a cash injection in the lion's den. Most recently, he also caused a stir when he stormed out of the studio in a rage. The reason: He suspected that colleague Nico Rosberg had closed a deal behind the backs of the other investors.

Now Kofler is causing a stir again - but with a view to his private life. The 65-year-old confirmed the separation from his partner Veronika Scholze. "It's unfortunate, but better that way," Kofler told the "Bild" newspaper.

The two were a couple for about three years. In October 2019, Kofler went into raptures when he spoke about his love, which was still fresh at the time. "A new chapter in my book of life is just emerging. I consider that to be very lucky," he said at the time. A year earlier he had separated from his wife Christiane zu Salm.

Georg Kofler was born in South Tyrol and has had a long career as a media manager. From 1988 to 2000 he was head of the television station ProSieben. He later served for several years as CEO of Sky's predecessor, Premiere. He has represented million dollar investor Lars Windhorst on the Hertha BSC supervisory board since 2021.
