Earlier this year, Susan Sideropoulos returns to Good Times Bad Times after 12 years. Eva Mona Rodekirchen wasn't gone that long. Nevertheless, the fans of the RTL series should be happy that they are now slipping back into their role as Maren Seefeld.
With "Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten" (GZSZ) there is another comeback just around the corner. Eva Mona Rodekirchen will be back in front of the camera as Maren Seefeld from April, as RTL announced. In the fall of 2022, the actress said goodbye to the series.
Her character had embarked on a world tour with her daughter in September 2022, in episode 7,600. At that time, Rodekirchen said in an interview with RTL about her exit: "The last two and a half years have been very challenging for all of us and I felt my strength go away." Saying goodbye is not easy for her, she explained. She was afraid of "bursting into tears during the last shoot". In the end, however, she "managed it quite well".
She had already hoped for a return back then: "I wish, and that would actually be the best case, that Maren would eventually have enough of her trip around the world and would like to go back to the neighborhood because 100 percent will come back and I with the vigor with whom I started at the time, can continue as an actress at GZSZ." How and when the character Maren Seefeld will return to the Kolle-Kiez is not yet known.
The 46-year-old Rodekirchen had her first GZSZ appearance on November 16, 2010. When she made her debut, she made a mistake. So she met her old school friend Alexander Cöster (Clemens Löhr) again after many years and asked him if he hadn't made Iris, the "little shy" girl from back then, pregnant. Iris wasn't far away - and Maren's first faux pas was perfect.
Even if Rodekirchen was not recently seen at GZSZ, the actress was not idle. You can see her in the RTL series "Der König von Palma" (also available on RTL). In her role as Frauke Werner she is hardly recognizable here.
With the return of Rodekirchen, GZSZ is already celebrating the second big comeback this year. It was only announced at the beginning of 2023 that Susan Sideropoulos was also returning to the Kolle-Kiez. Twelve years after she died in the series as Verena Koch, she has been seen in a new role as Sarah Elsässer since mid-January.
