Mecklenburg-West Pomerania: 22 companies from MV at the WindEnergy trade fair

Schwerin (dpa/mv) - Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania's Economics Minister Reinhard Meyer (SPD) sees great opportunities for the state's economic development in the accelerated expansion of green electricity production. The north-east still has potential, especially when it comes to using wind power. This affects both the construction of further wind farms and the development, manufacture and sale of the technology required for this. "The need for production and manufacturing facilities and the associated infrastructure will increase significantly," said Meyer on Wednesday during a visit to the WindEnergy trade fair in Hamburg.

At the world's largest trade fair for the use of wind power, which opened on Tuesday, 22 companies from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania will be presenting their products and services. The ministry announced that 13 companies were represented as individual exhibitors and 9 more at a joint stand. The fair lasts until Friday.
