Bad Doberan (dpa/mv) - The Christian Münster School in Bad Doberan has been awarded the title "Energy Saving Champion 2022" for the best climate protection project in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. As the consulting company co2online, which was commissioned with the competition, announced on Wednesday, the students at this elementary school are turning to companies and politicians to provide information on climate and environmental issues, to initiate changes and have already achieved a lot. The next goal is to install a climate educational trail through the city with information boards and an accompanying information brochure.
In addition to the prize money of 2500 euros, the school will receive a project sponsorship with the Finanztip Foundation and also have the chance of winning the national prize, which is endowed with a further 2500 euros. This prize will be awarded on June 24th in Berlin. According to the information, 395 schools nationwide have applied for the competition funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection.
