Mecklenburg-West Pomerania: Research results: Catalysis transfer center in Rostock

Rostock (dpa/mv) - A transfer center has been opened at the Leibniz Institute for Catalysis Research (Likat) in Rostock in order to bring scientific knowledge quickly to small and medium-sized companies. It is about hydrogen technologies and the use of carbon dioxide, said Science Minister Bettina Martin on Monday. The new building cost 12.7 million euros. The construction period was two and a half years. The Likat is also involved in setting up a hydrogen factory at the international port of Rostock. Economics Minister Reinhard Meyer explained that one focus of the research is on low-emission shipping.
