Mecklenburg-West Pomerania: US destroyer USS Roosevelt visiting Rostock

Rostock (dpa/mv) - The US destroyer USS Roosevelt has arrived in Rostock for a visit lasting several days. The 156 meter long ship moored in the seaport on Saturday. The USS Roosevelt accommodates over 250 crew members. At the heart of the ship is the Aegis Weapons System, an integrated radar and missile system. The ship has most of the services found in a small town, including restaurants, banks, ATMs, laundromat, shopping and a hair salon, according to the US Navy. According to the US Navy, the ship has been on patrol since September 27, 2022.
