Güstrow (dpa / mv) - New police officers for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: After two years of training, 108 graduates will receive their certificates on Friday and will be appointed probationary police officers. Another 29 police students failed the exams, as the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in Güstrow announced on Tuesday. Another 7 were dismissed at their own request and another 7 did not reach the training goal in the regular time. They should get a second chance.

The training started in August 2020. At that time, 917 women and men had applied, it was said. They had to face a selection process that included, among other things, a dictation, a cognitive ability test and a sports test.

According to the information, around 1,150 young people are currently studying or training at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration, Police and Judicial Affairs of the State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in Güstrow. Almost 670 of these were for the police.
