Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: 30 years after Lichtenhagen: Nouripour visits FC Rostock

Rostock (dpa/mv) - 30 years after the racist riots in Rostock-Lichtenhagen, the federal chairman of the Greens, Omid Nouripour, visits the sports club Internationaler FC Rostock, which fights against discrimination. Together with his party friend and federal government coordinator for maritime economy, Claudia Müller, he wants to find out more about the association in the Hanseatic city today. Müller is a candidate in the Rostock mayoral election in November.

As part of Nouripour's summer tour, a visit to the former site of the insolvent MV Werften in Wismar is planned beforehand (10 a.m.) together with Müller. The submarine builder Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) from Kiel and the medical technology manufacturer Eppendorf are now new owners here. At the end there will be a beer garden talk in Rostock in the evening (6 p.m.).
