Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: 40-year-old dies in a work accident at the Peene shipyard

Wolgast (dpa / mv) - A 40-year-old died in an accident at work at the Peene shipyard in Wolgast (Vorpommern-Greifswald district). The man rode his bike through a dark production hall to turn on the light, police said on Monday morning. Late on Sunday evening he overlooked a parked trailer on which sharp-edged metal plates were stacked. The man collided with the trailer and suffered severe lacerations on his neck, bleeding profusely. A colleague of the seriously injured called the emergency number and provided first aid. An emergency doctor could only determine the death of the man.
