Binz (dpa / mv) - In connection with a balcony fire in an apartment building in Binz on the island of Rügen, the police are investigating on suspicion of negligent arson. As a police spokeswoman said on Tuesday, the fire on Monday caused damage of around 50,000 euros. A balcony on the ground floor and the facade of the multi-storey building and several windows were affected. A fire investigator will investigate what caused the fire. Witnesses had noticed the fire and reported it so that the fire brigade could extinguish the flames and prevent them from spreading further. Nobody got hurt.
