Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: 68-year-old with life-threatening injuries in a pedelec crash

Hiddensee (dpa / mv) - A pedelec driver was seriously injured in an accident on the island of Hiddensee. The 68-year-old saw an oncoming cyclist too late during an overtaking maneuver on Tuesday and fell while trying to avoid it, the police said. The woman was injured in the head. A helicopter took her to a hospital in Greifswald. The cyclist was not injured in the accident in the town of Norderende.
