Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: A14 free earlier than planned

Schwerin (dpa/mv) - The A14, which has been completely closed to the south since Monday due to construction work, between the Schwerin-Ost junction and the Schwerin junction has been released again earlier than planned. Traffic has been rolling again since Thursday afternoon, the federal Autobahn GmbH announced. The roadway rehabilitation work could therefore be completed earlier. Actually, the highway should remain closed until Thursday shortly before midnight. For the further renovation work, however, a half-way blocking of the road is sufficient, it said. In the past week, the opposite direction in the area was completely blocked for several days for the same reason.
