Schwerin (dpa / mv) - After a fire in an apartment building in Schwerin, the police are looking for suspects. The fire broke out on Tuesday night in the basement of a prefabricated building in the Großer Dreesch district and frightened the residents, a police spokeswoman said. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire shortly after midnight before the multi-storey house had to be evacuated. A 34-year-old resident was taken to hospital with suspected smoke inhalation. There is a suspicion of serious arson. The damage was estimated at 50,000 euros.
