Greifswald (dpa / mv) - In a serious car accident on the B109 near Greifswald, the five occupants of the vehicle were seriously injured. The 85-year-old driver drove too far to the left in his lane on Sunday and crashed sideways into an oncoming car, the police said. The car then left the road to the right, rolled over several times and stopped next to the roadway. The five occupants were taken to a hospital. The other people involved in the accident were not injured.
Shortly before, the 85-year-old had been driving in his lane when another car switched from the acceleration lane to the main lane. The 85-year-old drove past it and got into the oncoming lane, which resulted in a collision with the oncoming vehicle. The B109 had to be completely closed for an hour.
