Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: carport and boat destroyed by fire: experts examined

Gahlkow (dpa / mv) - After a carport fire with damage of around 50,000 euros, the police in Western Pomerania are investigating on suspicion of arson. As a police spokesman said on Monday, the fire broke out early on Sunday morning on a property in Gahlkow near Loissin (West Pomerania-Greifswald). A boat stored there and a lawn tractor also burned in the carport. According to the police, a fire expert should now clarify on behalf of the public prosecutor's office how the fire started. According to initial investigations, the 58-year-old owner of the vehicles was not present at the time. A neighbor noticed the flames and alerted the fire brigade and police.
