Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Cars collide with wild boar

Hagenow (dpa / mv) - A gang of wild boar caused short-term disabilities on the Autobahn 24 Berlin-Hamburg. Seven black coats ran across the road early Wednesday morning near a rest area between Wöbbelin and Hagenow (Ludwigslust-Parchim), with cars hitting two of the animals, a police spokesman said. One lane of the A24 in the direction of Hamburg had to be closed for the rescue. Nobody was hurt in the cars. The two animals died.

Why the wild boar stayed there remained unclear. A car had to be towed. It was dark at the time of the accident. Animals always find food leftovers as food in parking lots.
