Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Conrad Ekhof Prize to actress Julia Keiling

Schwerin (dpa/mv) - The actress Julia Keiling receives this year's Conrad Ekhof Prize from the Society of Friends of the Mecklenburg State Theater. The company announced on Friday that Keiling was particularly convincing with her performance in "Solo Sunny". The prize is endowed with 2500 euros.

Keiling has been engaged at the Mecklenburg State Theater since the 2016/17 season. The award will be presented on July 10th.

Due to the corona virus, no Ekhof Prize had been awarded in the past two years. Born in Berlin, Julia Keiling studied acting at the University of Music and Theater in Leipzig from 2009 to 2013. Before her engagement in Schwerin she worked at theaters in Dresden and Bonn.

Conrad Ekhof founded the first German acting academy in Schwerin in 1753.
