Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: district administrator as a guest of the CDU party leader in Berlin

Berlin/Wismar (dpa/mv) - The district administrator of Northwest Mecklenburg, Tino Schomann, and the Greifswald member of the Bundestag Philipp Amthor (both CDU) exchanged views on immigration policy with CDU party leader Friedrich Merz in Berlin. "Our district administrators and mayors are currently reaching the limits of their municipal capacity due to the uncontrolled immigration policy of left-wing parties," Amthor wrote in a Facebook post on Wednesday.

After the meeting, in which the deputy CDU general secretary Christina Stumpp also took part, it was clear to him: "Instead of comforting and small talk, von Faeser and Schwesig must now also act in the migration crisis!".

Schomann is currently being criticized for building refugee accommodation in the small town of Upahl. The citizens of the village with only 500 inhabitants oppose the shelter for 400 refugees. There have been protests for weeks.
