Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: e-bikes and cars stolen from vacationers in Kühlungsborn

Kuehlungsborn (dpa/mv) - Unknown persons stole several cars and electric bicycles from holidaymakers in the Kuehlungsborn region (Rostock district) at the weekend. As a police spokesman said on Monday in Güstrow, a total of seven vehicle thefts were reported. The e-bikes were connected outdoors in Kühlungsborn near the holiday accommodation. The two cars belonging to owners from North Rhine-Westphalia and Bavaria were broken into and stolen in Kühlungsborn and in the neighboring town of Rethwisch. The total damage was given as several tens of thousands of euros. The region around the Baltic Sea resort of Kühlungsborn is considered an important visitor magnet on the Baltic Sea.
