Güstrow (dpa / mv) - A 58-year-old man misled the police in Güstrow with a false emergency call. An attempt was made to murder him and there was blood everywhere, the man described his plight on Monday morning at 7.40 a.m., as the police announced on Tuesday. The alarmed officials drove to the specified apartment. But nobody opened it to them.

From the balcony, however, they could see a man sitting motionless in an armchair. He woke up to loud shouting and knocking and identified himself as the caller. He was heavily intoxicated. Investigations into emergency call abuse are now underway against Güstrower.
