Schwerin (dpa/mv) - Employment subject to social security contributions increased again in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania last year after a corona dent. According to the State Statistical Office, 580,771 people with a job subject to social security contributions had their place of work in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania at the end of 2021. This was 1.1 percent more than a year earlier, it said on Monday.
On March 30, 2021, the statisticians determined the last decline since the beginning of the pandemic in spring 2020. As of June 30 and September 30, 2021, the development was up 0.8 and 1.0 percent respectively compared to the previous year. The highest level of employment subject to social security contributions in MV was on September 30, 2019 with 587,325 jobs.
