Bastorf (dpa/mv) - A failed overtaking maneuver ended fatally for a 22-year-old motorcyclist near Bastorf. Despite attempts at resuscitation, the man died at the scene of the accident, the police said.
The motorcyclist had previously overtaken several cars on Sunday on Landstraße 12 between Bastorf and Mechelsdorf. When he swerved to the right again, he lost control of his machine and left the road, the police said. Because of the salvage work, the country road in the Rostock district was completely closed for around one and a half hours.
