Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Farmers' Association invites you to the press conference at the start of the year

Lübesse (dpa/mv) - The Farmers' Association of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania invites you to its traditional annual press conference on Thursday (11:00 a.m.). Farm President Detlef Kurreck's topics are the new fertilizer restrictions in areas where the groundwater is polluted with nitrates and the increasing demands on animal welfare. Nevertheless, farmers must fulfill their tasks for food security, it said. The press conference takes place in a large agricultural company in Lübesse (Ludwigslust-Parchim district), which, among other things, grows potatoes and has to irrigate fields for this. After several dry years, this represents a growing challenge.
