Schwerin (dpa/mv) - A fire temporarily forced residents of an apartment building in Schwerin to flee on Sunday evening. As a police spokeswoman said on Monday, the fire broke out in an otherwise empty apartment on the second floor of the prefabricated building in the Mueßer Holz district. The fire brigade helped to get some residents out of the apartments. She was then able to put out the fire. The cause of the fire is still unclear. The police are investigating on suspicion of arson and are checking who even had access to the one-room apartment. The tenants were later able to return to their apartments.
