Stolpe (dpa / mv) - A 57-year-old first responder saved an accident motorcyclist near Stolpe (Ludwigslust-Parchim district). The motorcycle caught fire after the driver went off the road and fell on Friday, police said on Saturday. The 71-year-old was seriously injured on the burning machine.

This was noticed by the 57-year-old, who drove past the scene of the accident a little later in his car. He pulled the motorcyclist a few meters out of the flames and alerted the emergency services. The 71-year-old was taken to a hospital in Parchim and the fire was extinguished. It is estimated that damage to property was more than 3000 euros.
