Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Five injured in a rear-end collision on the island of Usedom

Bannemin (dpa/mv) - Five people were injured in a traffic accident involving three vehicles in the north of the island of Usedom on Tuesday. As a police spokesman said, a 70-year-old driver on federal highway 111 near Bannemin overlooked the fact that two cars had to stop in front of him due to traffic. The pensioner drove his car into a car occupied by five people. Due to the force, this car was in turn pushed onto the car in front of it.

In the middle car, the 21-year-old driver and four passengers between the ages of 19 and 20 were injured. The person who caused the accident was uninjured. Between Wolgast and Bannemin there were long traffic jams at times due to the recovery of the vehicles and the injured.
