Wieck (dpa/mv) - The prizes will be awarded at the Darss Nature Film Festival on Saturday (8 p.m.). Twelve productions competed for the German Nature Film Award. The main prizes are the “Best Film Wilderness Nature” and “Best Film Man and Nature”, each endowed with 10,000 euros. They are to be presented by Federal Environment Minister Steffi Lemke (Greens), the patron. All prizes together are endowed with 26,000 euros.
The festival started on Tuesday and will last until Sunday. The focus this year was on the forest habitat. More than 50 productions were in the program.
