Wismar (dpa/mv) - The completion of the cruise ship "Global Dream" for the Disney group could secure up to 650 jobs in Wismar. However, at least 400 employees would be hired, said the Meyer shipyard commissioned by Disney on Thursday. By 2025, the recently sold ship - which was also known as "Global One" - should be ready. "This is a clear signal for good work at the Wismar shipyard. When it actually starts is unclear. "The conversion and further construction of the new ship will start as soon as possible once the essential design changes have been agreed with the new owner," said the statement from the Meyer shipyard in Papenburg, Lower Saxony.
