Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Güstrower Schlossquell employees get more money

Güstrow (dpa / mv) - The employees of one of the two largest mineral water companies in north-eastern Germany - the Güstrower Schlossquell - get more money. As the trade union for food, indulgence and restaurants announced on Friday, agreement on a collective agreement was reached for the first time. The approximately 60 employees received a total of 21 percent more in four stages by May 2025. That means 500 euros more per employee, plus an annual bonus.

"The company has thus taken an important step towards securing skilled workers," said NGG country manager Jörg Dahms. In addition to energy prices, a lack of workers is the main problem faced by many companies in the north-east. Water has been bottled and delivered in Güstrow since 1926. Like the Glashäger brand near Rostock, the company belongs to the Hessian Hassia Group, which claims to have around 1,430 employees.
