Rostock (dpa/mv) - Second division football club FC Hansa Rostock has ended the pre-season unbeaten. In the last of a total of five friendlies, coach Jens Härtel's team defeated the Danish first division side Bröndby IF 3-1 (0-1) in their home Ostseestadion on Saturday. Svante Ingelsson (49th minute), Nils Fröling (55th) and Ridge Munsy (86th) scored the goals for the Hanseatic League in front of around 6000 spectators. Christian Cappis (44th) had given the guests the lead.

Previously, the Mecklenburgers, who have been back in training since June 17, had beaten Dynamo Schwerin (6-1), Wolfsberger AC (3-1) and FC Anker Wismar (10-0). There was a goalless draw against Austria Klagenfurt at the training camp in Austria.

At the start of the season, the Härtel-Elf awaits 1. FC Heidenheim in the Ostseestadion on July 17 (1 p.m. / Sky). The north derby at Hamburger SV follows a week later.
