Rostock (dpa / mv) - FC Hansa Rostock has signed Frederic Ananou. As the second division soccer team from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania announced on Sunday, the 24-year-old defender will receive a contract until June 30, 2023. The previous second division stations of the Deutsch-Togoers, who trained at 1. FC Köln, include FC Ingolstadt (2018 until 2020) and SC Paderborn (2020 to 2022). In addition, he has 15 games for the German U19 and U20 teams and two appearances for the Togolese national team.
"Freddy left a positive impression in the training sessions in Rostock and was able to confirm this in our two tests here at the training camp in Austria, even under competitive conditions. He is a robust, fast and strong tackle player who can be used both as a central defender and as an outside defender "said Hansa's sports director Martin Pieckenhagen.
Ananou also played at the end of the summer training camp against Austrian Bundesliga side Austria Klagenfurt on Saturday. Coach Jens Härtel's team achieved a deserved goalless draw in front of 200 spectators. On Sunday, the guests from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania returned home after ten days in the Alpine Republic.
