Schwaan (dpa/mv) - In the district of Rostock, a heavily drunk man first drove his SUV in snaking lines on the road and a little later got stuck in the mud of a field. Passers-by had alerted the police because they had observed the 56-year-old with his unsafe driving in the town of Schwaan, the police said on Sunday. Due to the wavy lines in the snow and mud, the officials were able to quickly locate the man and his car.
In the vehicle they found not only the heavily drunk and very aggressive man, but also a long gun ready to hand in the back seat, as the police wrote. The 56-year-old was therefore pulled out of the car and tied up. After consultation with a judge, all weapons registered to the man were then secured and sent to the Rostock district for further examination. The man from the region now has to answer for drunk driving, resisting law enforcement officers and violating the weapons law.
