Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Man hit with a bottle ready for hospital: perpetrators wanted

Rostock (dpa / mv) - The federal police in Rostock are looking for witnesses to an act of violence in which a man was seriously injured on Lord's Day. As a spokesman for the federal police said on Monday, an unknown person is said to have hit the 21-year-old victim in the head with a beer bottle. The victim was traveling in a group. The 21-year-old suffered serious head injuries and was taken to a hospital.

The approximately 1.80 meter tall violent criminal, who was wearing a gray hoodie, is said to have fled and threatened other men who wanted to hold him. The incident is said to have happened shortly before midnight in the lobby of the main train station in Rostock and only became known later.

A motive for the brutal attack is not known, it said. On Ascension Day, which many men's groups in the Northeast celebrate as Lord's Day with lots of alcohol, fights often break out. According to the police, this year's men's day was largely quiet, it had been said so far. The violent criminal wanted in Rostock is said to have worn a bald head and eye-catching tunnel earrings in both ears.
