Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Man killed from "violation of honor": prison sentences

Neubrandenburg (dpa/mv) - The accused have to go to prison for the violent death of a man in Neubrandenburg. The Neubrandenburg district court found the 20 and 17-year-old men guilty of assault resulting in death. The 20-year-old received four and a half years in prison, the younger three years and nine months in prison. On February 7, they jointly kicked the 30-year-old man from Afghanistan, especially in the head, said judge Daniela Lieschke. The victim died eleven days after the brutal abuse in a clinic from severe head injuries.

The two men convicted from Afghanistan and Iran were observed by witnesses and caught near the scene of the crime. The motive is a "defamation". They were silent in court. Only in the last word did the 20-year-old say that he didn't want to kill the man and that he was sorry. According to the police, the 30-year-old allegedly called a friend of the 20-year-old man a "slut" or "whore". This also comes from Afghanistan and was previously friends with the 30-year-old.

She is said to have urged the 20-year-old to act several times. The woman is still being investigated for incitement to the act of violence.
