Bad Sülze (dpa / mv) - An unknown person tried to steal a Christmas goose in Bad Sülze in the Vorpommern-Rügen district. The thief put a frozen goose in a backpack in a supermarket on Thursday and tried to leave the store without paying for the Christmas feast, the Stralsund police said. A store detective observed the crime and intervened. The stranger fled and left his backpack and loot behind. A cashier stood in the way of the thief, who, according to previous investigations, took a bottle from a shelf and hit the employee on the back of the head. The cashier was slightly injured. The approximately 30 to 40-year-old perpetrator escaped.
