Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: More money for AWO employees in Müritz and in Western Pomerania

Waren/Stralsund (dpa/mv) - Employees of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt (Awo) on the Müritz and in Western Pomerania will receive significantly more money in the future. Collective bargaining this week led to an agreement, the Verdi union announced on Thursday. The Awo regional association confirmed the agreement.

Accordingly, employees of the Awo district association Müritz received eight percent more wages on October 1st. For employees of the Vorpommern district association, the wages will be increased in stages, for nursing staff from September 1st and all others from the beginning of next year. Depending on the wages paid so far, these will increase by up to ten percent in Western Pomerania, according to the union.

According to the information, the wages will be adjusted to the collective agreement level of the TVÖD (public service) and to the German collective agreement reference. The district associations followed the associations in Rostock, Doberan, Ludwigslust, Neubrandenburg, Ostvorpommern, Uecker-Randow, and the Awo state association.

For the Vorpommern district association, the payment of the care allowance (80 euros as of September 1, 2022 and 120 euros from January 1, 2023) as well as a further monthly allowance of 25 euros from the beginning of next year will also be added.
