Sundhagen (dpa / mv) - A motorcyclist died in a collision with a car in the Vorpommern-Rügen district. As a police spokesman said, the accident happened on Wednesday on federal highway 105 between Stralsund and Greifswald near Sundhagen. According to initial investigations, a 77-year-old driver wanted to turn left on the B105. He apparently overlooked the motorcyclist who had just overtaken several vehicles from behind.
The motorcyclist from Demmin (Mecklenburg Lake District) hit the left side of the car. He died at the scene of the accident, it was said. The driver from Saxony suffered minor injuries.
