Ludwigslust (dpa/mv) - A funeral service in Ludwigslust ended with a fight and several injuries. A police spokesman said on Monday, when the mourners returned to their home from the cemetery on Friday, they surprised an irreverent burglar. The 26-year-old entered the house during the funeral because he was probably looking for cash.
When the 26-year-old noticed that the escape route was blocked, he attacked the mourners. This led to a violent confrontation with seven guests, four of whom were injured. When the police came, the suspect also attacked the officers. They used tear gas and tied up the 26-year-old. According to the victims, around 1,000 euros were stolen from the house.
Some of the money was found in an envelope in a bush near the house, which the suspect probably stored there. The man is now being investigated for burglary, assault and assault on police officers.
