"We address tourists and returnees who visit their families, friends or our beautiful vacation spots on the long weekends," explained Minister of Education Simone Oldenburg (left). There are attractive, vacant teaching positions in the schools. Junior teachers who decided to do a traineeship in the countryside, for example, received a salary supplement of 20 percent.
In view of the shortage of staff in the schools, the country is advertising for teachers at the start of the tourism season on advertising spaces at important transport hubs and train stations, as the Ministry of Education announced on Monday. The motto of the annual advertising campaign since 2016 is: "Arouse curiosity and discover lakes."
